An Israeli bulldozer rammed into a home in the village of Bani al-Tabbagh, destroying it in the latest development in the escalating violence in the occupied West Bank.
The bulldozer on Wednesday morning hit the house belonging to Mohammed al-Muhajir, who was in his home with his two daughters and their parents, and destroyed his entire family home, Palestinian media reported.
Israeli police said the family of the elderly man were living in the house and were on the third floor when they were attacked by the bulldozer.
It was not immediately clear what the family was doing in the home.
The family had no idea the bulldozers were coming.
They were not aware the bulldozing was taking place and the family had not seen any army vehicles or military vehicles in the area.
The family members were evacuated to the nearby Beit Hanoun hospital and then to Beit Safafa, an Israeli military hospital, where they were treated for shock and were released.
Israel’s army said it was investigating the incident.
The IDF, which has been conducting air strikes against Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip, has launched several high-profile attacks on Palestinian homes in the West Bank in recent weeks.
